The droning in the hallways
Slowly fade out of hearing
The hazy glow of lights
Gradually disappear from sight
You breathe,
Once, twice, three times
The air somehow seems different
One moment thick, the other sweet
You are enveloped in white light
And feels as light as air
Shades of blue and white
Render you unable to break free, try as you might
Suddenly you feel so peaceful,
your eyelids are no longer heavy.
You can walk with a spring in your step,
without a worry to care about.
You chance upon a group of people
Huddled around something
Making no sound at all
Curiosity takes over
Its a picture of you
Smiling brightly
As you feel now.
A picture portrait size.
